AFRICAN BY THE BAY : CHIEF BOIMA

Here’s a juicy free release from our homie from the Ghetto Bassquake blog, Chief Boima, whose not only a music head but also a very intelligent commentator on many different issues affecting the different types of music scenes that are covered in the blogosphere world.

It’s a release on the Dutty Artz label but he’ll also be dropping a debut single on the Ghetto Bassquake label which we understand will be up and running next year.

Crazy coincidence but I think a natural progression of where all of us blogs are heading right now, our own labels.  Vince & I discussed the same thing this year and so also watch out for the Generation Bass label coming next year and we already have our first MAJOR signing, JEDWARD!!!!….lol.  More info on that in the New Year!!!!

Here’s what Ghetto Bassquake say:

We’re hyped that our own Chief Boima is dropping his all new EP over at Dutty Artz. Its a fat package of completely awesome remixes in true Boima style – Afro House party bangers.

The African By The Bay EP blends US Hip Hop jams with his own African influenced riddims of Coupe Decale, Kuduro, Nigerian club, Kwaito and High life and more. Dicing up rolling African beats, sometimes touching on UK funky (one of Boima’s big influences right now), and mashing em up with some great rap vocals from hitters like Young Joc and the Bay’s own E-40.

What makes this even more special is that its FREE.

So go grab here
