After an epic weekend, here comes another mighty trackfest and albeit it says Tropicalism, it’s not all Tropical but it’s pretty Tryannosaurus!
Track-Festers today are:
2. Shooting Horses
3. Zakee Kuduro
4. Eduardo Castillo
7. Un Mono Azul
8. Neci Stranac/ Shazalakazoo
Been folllowing this dude for a lil’ while now but it was not until recently that I really began to take a lot more notice with his 2 most recent tracks.
Dude, the guy is killin’ it with these 2 tracks..listen out for the woof woofs on Baile Del Perrito..GENIUS!
This is the way that Tropical House ought to sound, real, authentic and magnificent. It does not sound the least bit bastardized. These could be huuuge!
Here’s what he says about himself:
Born and raised in Equator, Jorge started his musicallife playing guitar in different style bands. The first relation with electronics was a drums programation in a cheap computer for a post-punk record. In 2007, Jorge went to Lisbon and stayed for two years. Fascinated for the explotion of Kuduro, Varig born as a combination of the childhood influences of Jorge, the calid sound of equadorian music, marimba, bomba and the most recent regueatton, and electronic dance music. In 2009, Jorge moves to Paris to study at the university and work in Varig tracks, drooping beats to people that want to play them in anywhere dancefloor.
Shooting Horses aka Rob Swaine from London sent me this great remix of the infamous “MugWanti”, check it out!
Perfect Tropical Fodder!
Been a while since we had any ZK on here but here he is with a new Kuku Bass remix of a M.I.A. track that DID NOT make her new album!
Love her or hate her..the half Lebanese/Colombian Shakira..I love her!
Eduardo Castillo, Sol Selectas artist who made the popular Radiohead remix “Casaradio” on Sol EP 10, was asked to remix Shakira’s WAKA WAKA world cup song in just 4 hours for a Sony music campaign. The campaign was put on hold, but we are left with his spontaneous twist on the World Cup theme. In honor of this incredible World Cup we are having, we thought it only appropriate to share this track with the Sol Selectas family, and the rest of the World!! VAMOS!!!!!!
I have not blogged any Electro shit for quite some time . This ain’t that too baad, check it out.
I’ve had this guys new album ready to blog for a few weeks now, it’s def coming early next week.
In the meantime, get a bit of this..fuckin’ bonkers craaaazzy..LOVE IT!
UN MONO AZUL
Our homie comes back with some Moombahton!
Simply pitched way down Cocotaxi’s remix so that it sounds like reggaeton but with those acid house synths. Corta y al pie. Art by Cleonike.
I love almost everything that Shazalakazoo do and I’ve been into them for around 4 years now. This is not brilliant but is quite good!
Tallava is like cheesy Gypsy Roma-Pop, I think!
No time for research, I’m sure somebody will correct me, tried quick google but nothing on Wiki.

A new find from Mexicooo.
I’m really feeling this. First track is kinda sexxy in a Latin White Stripes way and the second is a great remix of Smashing Pumpkins!
I like what this girl is doing, there’s potential!
Let’s finish with one of my favourite djs. Nobody puts a smile on my face like Cremoso.
