MIDWEEK MIXXXTAPES: FHLOSTON PARADIGM / BROCKSTEADY / ANDY WESTBURY

This week: Incredible SciFi themed mix to begin from Fhloston Paradigm, Juke footworkout from BrockSteady and vintage Caribbean funk to finish courtesy of Andy Westbury.

King Britt presents Fhloston Paradigm

Sci-fi inspired mix from Fhloston Paradigm (whose EP King Britt presents Fhloston Paradigm just dropped on Hyperdub) with an expansive sound taking in electro, techno, dub, jazz, ambience and tying it all together into a mix with a strong narrative feel (helped along by the occasional classic science fiction dialogue sample). The slowed down minimal dubtech of Specta Cierra’s Sleepy Tea is my personal favourite discovery on the mix, and you can grab that on this free album: SEQUENCE2
