Sexxy Saturday Cumbia – I Mention Internet Porn On This One

Something came up this week in a discussion I was having with someone (which is what I do all week, have discussions as part of my short journey through my life to figure out what the hell is really going on). It was something I heard a comedian once say (if you know who this comedian is please comment on this post because I have forgotten) that we are all descendants of assholes. This is true, our ancestors each and every one of us, were assholes. They were the ones that conquered and survived. That took the land and the women of other tribes and civilizations. In short most if not all of us are descendants of rape victims. Sounds horrible I know, but look at the bright side, Miss Universe is Venezuelan and therefore a product of rape at one point in her ancestral past. And she’s gorgeous! On the darker side, well she’s also a descendant of a rapist. So that’s that, we feel superiority, we conquer and then we rape each other. And what do you get? The modern human race. Forget all that hogwash about biblical original sin dealing with eating from the tree of knowledge, don’t be silly, the truth is obvious. Okay okay now after saying that I’m not saying we’re all bad because of it. No there are other factors at play here. There’s the classic case of being raised and living in a peaceful environment, which in turn normally turns out good people. There’s the desire to gather around fires (now bars and nightclubs) to socialize (but mostly judge each other). And the greatest thing and hope of all, connecting by way of the Internet.

Between the long periods of time we spend watching porn and television we find ways to connect. Taking away the central power of each of our governments we now can communicate truths to each other freely (except in North Korea and China) weeding out the propaganda, which we were incredibly susceptible to in the past.

Sure we have cons like Kony 2012 but with enough asshole bloggers (wannabe journalists) out there like myself we quickly shoot down cons showing different angles of perception. Through long debates we get to the truth eventually. But I’m digressing from my original point, which is our greatest hope, the Internet. As my friend and fellow blogger Cumbionico posted earlier this week on my other blog Nu Cumbia Experience, he discusses how the world’s governments are doing everything they can to keep control over our lives and freedoms. This is pure insanity and surely can’t last. As we go into our next age of true Internet piracy I can only hope we all go at it together. There’s nothing to fear except if we don’t wake up to the issues of our liberties taken away and more so if we believe in the threats our controllers tells us in which we will then have to call our controllers captors.

I have a talent to go from a humorous tone to a serious one (vise versa at funerals (don’t invite me to one!)).

Onto the cumbia I’m going to start with Den5hion. One of my heroes! I’m proud to bring him back on here with his new cumbiastep edit. It’s all over the place with dopeness.

Now into a different place with another nu cumbia hero of mine, Sonidos Profundos with his new deep cumbia.

Expect to hear some more of Gregorio Uribe from my side soon. The multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter originally from Colombia and now in NYC produces original tunes all with live instrumentation. Soon I hope to have an interview and a special expose of his work.

This is his newest track.

ChilangoUK basically sets up the history with his name. From Mexico City and now based out of London ChilangoUK is a nu cumbia producer and DJ. He put together this mix recently with some of the big nu cumbia giants we’ve all shown love for in the past.

Nu cumbia legend Gux Swadharma returns with version 2.0 of his Cumbia Connected. I had posted version 1.0 a few weeks back. This time he is joined with La Candela Machine.

Here’s something a little different. Stepping away from digital cumbia and into live nu cumbia bands is this mix from Bulgarian native Dharba. It’s not restricted to strictly live bands, there are some cool edits and even Balkan flavors.

Returning is the Sexxy Saturday Cumbia regular Pa Kongal with his newest digital production. Lots of flavor with this one says I.

I’m very pleased I stumbled upon Sonido Changorama’s new single off the debut album Los Padres De La Patria. This track gets me excited for the release of the album. I’m really enjoying the vibe. I promise to follow up with press for the album as soon as I can.

Onto a total digitally heavy cumbiastep from Tu Guaina. I posted about his EP a little bit back and now he’s becoming one of my favorites to look forward to uploads from.

Urban World Records also just released an awesome remix collection. Earlier this year they made a call out to whoever would like to remix LoveAvalanche Feat. MC BenJammin’s track Less Corruption. Many came back to them with their remixes. They had a difficult task of narrowing down the selection for the release but eventually succeeded in doing so. On it we have some cumbieros Generation Bass readers especially Sexxy Saturday Cumbia readers will recognize, those names being Bigote, David from Superpendejos, and Andres Digital. Check it out.

Lastly check out this dope new band from Buenos Aires I wrote about this week Sonora Irreal. They play cumbia, dancehall and even punk. They bring a new exciting sound to the world of nu cumbia.

That about wraps things all up. I hope I didn’t forget something… I have that feeling like I did that’s why I’m writing this bit.

Oh well Cumbia Will NEVER Die! As long as we continue receiving awesome new work like the guys on her today.

Peace
