GENERATION BASS CLASSIC POST : BLACK METAL SOUNDSYSTEM MIXTAPE

blackmeta

Sorry that I keep starting off like this but it gives an intro to peeps who might not have kept up with previous Classic Posts!

So we’re gonna be trawling through our archives to find what we consider to be some of our classic posts, which should highlight just how influential we might have been in the past 4 years.

This is one that has its origins on a Crookers site but which gained much greater prominence when we liberated it lol :-)

It’s classic because the intro is still pretty damn unique, funny and creepy.  The mystery surrounding who the Black Metal Soundsystem was equally as enthralling but we found out in the end to much applause and we updated the post later that day to unveil who the mysterious person was behind the project.

The original link to download the mixtape is broken and so get it from HERE……geetar leads Joe, u don’t fit the bill!!!

GENERATION BASS CLASSIC POST – 11TH OCTOBER 2009

BLACK METAL SOUNDSYSTEM MIXTAPE

Grabbed this from the CROOKERS BLOG and have to say it’s fuckin’ very interesting.

The intro itself, which lasts about 5 minutes, is worth downloading this mix for alone.  It’s very reminiscent of Bob George by Prince on his brilliant Black Album.

Nothing much is known about this outfit and here’s all that Crookers say about them:

Check this very last mix by the Devil himself, little is known about his musical background and future releases, but we’ll keep you updated…

UPDATE (Sunday 11.10.09 7-ish UK time)

Did a bit of digging and man you must know by now, I can find out anything, it’s by MIXHELL from Brazil!

Mixhell aka Iggor Cavalera is best known for his part as the drummer in Brazilian super band Sepultura. Throughout the nineties, Sepultura cemented itself into the backbone of modern Metal music and Iggor was a major factor in making this happen. His ability to project emotions and evoke thought through his percussive talents saw him accumulate a wealth of accolades including many “Best Drummer” titles, as well as touring the globe and selling in excess of 10 million albums.
