MUNCHI ON BBC RADIO 1 XTRA WITH DIPLO & FRIENDS TONIGHT 1.00 AM

Munchi has come a long, long way in the past 3 years and deservedly so.

In 2011 he was on the cusp of huge international success but then he had his seizure, which meant that he had to put a huge majority of his musical activities on hold in order to recover.  He is still in recovery mode but in spite of this stroke of bad fortune, he is still one of the most loved and talked about new producers in the scene.

It wasn’t meant to be in 2011 but one thing is clear, his time is gonna come and in a few years time he will be gracing not only all the world’s stages but will also be picking up Grammy and other awards, be featured in Top 10 lists and charts  the world over and be hugely, monstrously successful, we believe it is meant to be!!!

Tonight you can catch him on Diplo’s show on BBC Radio 1 Xtra to hear what all the fuss and love is about.

HEAR IT HERE TONIGHT AT 1.00 AM UK TIME

Here’s what Munchi posted on his FB page:

What’s good my friends!!

First things first:

Thanks so much for keeping with me for so long already, you don’t even know how much I appreciate it yo.

So much has happened in such a short time and I think that a lot just happened so fast. I had to pull the break for a while. So I took a hiatus of everything recently and it was my first break in like 2 1/2 years!!

If you remember it I had a seizure in 2011 when I was just coming up. The aftereffects lasted longer then expected and I had to cancel all the remaining events to just chill for a bit. I don’t think it was a good idea to just go hard again so soon, right after the rest period. I was just kinda doing shit without having a goal or knowing what I was doing. It has been very confusing time in which I never really recuperated, I just convinced myself think that I was better while ignoring the symptoms. Still dealing with it :/.

Health always goes first man, no matter what.

Another thing is that the business side of the music was extremely disappointing and a discouraging thing to me. A lot has happened and a lot of thinking has been done. Taking it back to something that is more familiar to me.

The new year is gonna bring a lot of new stuff that I’m really excited about and before all of that I’m starting with this mix for BBC Radio 1 on Diplo’s show. The mix is about everything I do in 1 mix and has about 75% new tracks. Also 45 of the 50 tracks are mine lol. I was just too excited to keep hiding some of them, it’s just a little preview for what’s to come. That’s all I can say for now. As you might know, at the same time that I like revealing shit too early, I’m really keeping a lot for myself until shit is really final haha. BAM!

Haha, I barely slept this week yo trying to make this shit. I really put a shitload of effort in this thing.

Check it out here for more info and listen to it on Saturday!!

All the best my people and I hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I did putting it together!

Blessings,
Munchi
