RAFFERTIE’s cool label SUPER just released a new joint by UK goldenboy THROWING SNOW. Throwing Snow is a UK based producer, writing anything from folk to dubstep. He is a Music Consultant at Hear No Evil and runs the label A Future Without. His tunes have worked up some interest all over the bass music board really. Good solid productions with a nice own style and vibe. Check out the complete release here: SPR006 : Throwing Snow & Py – Wallow by super
What do you envision for our future? Specifically, 989 years from now? That’s a question the guys at KING DELUXE asked a range of electronic producers with this project, to soundtrack the end of the 30th century. Show us what might be, or what they’d wish for humanity.
To help bring these ideas to life they also have a wide array of illustrators choosing tracks to interpret. They take the music and the idea and work their magic, and whether it’s what the musician had originally imagined, or not, the results are fascinating and looking really cool. The music is all 320’s – free downloads and the project is updated on a weekly basis! check out some of the cool downloads for this project:
Big news from UK trio Aquasky – they’ve dropped Part Two of their Deep Fat Frequencies EP series on Passenger Records, seeing them team up with Midlands 4/4 bassline producers Slipz n Dapz for “You Know We Do It Big.”
The EP itself is a cracker, you can preview it on Beatport below. On remix duty there’s Tonka, signed to Norman Cook’s Southern Fried label, the infamous d&b legend Friction, 21 year old UK producer Raffertie plus Slipz N Dapz throwing down another bassline remix.
Radio 1 support from Kissy Sellout and Annie Nightingale, as well as biggups from Lee Mortimer, Far Too Loud, Foamo, Maelstrom and Si Begg. Oh – and IDJ marked it 9/10. So not bad!
We’ve got some tunes from Slipz n Dapz to giveaway plus a video interview and mix from the Aquasky boys. Enjoy!
