Oh hey before we start, a quick request – if you send in mixtapes – send tracklists too!
Yep, this is some Titanic-grade deepness presented by Peter from Blog.rebellen. Loving the Undaground Soundz remix of Steve Lawler’s Gimme Some More – deep deep house taken into even deeper bass territory. Solid.

Secret Archives of the Vatican
Vince from Secret Archives presents an incredible selection of acoustic and vocal Arabo-Andalusian Muwashshah, Castillian, Flemish, Arabian, Moroccan, Persian, Kurdish, & European music. This mix is either super chilled or incredibly intense, depending on what level you engage with it. It’s all acoustic and much of it is beat-free, so it’s not going to set any dance floors on fire any time soon, but well worth a listen none the less.

Man you guys are like buses, weeks go by with nobody sending me any tapes, now suddenly I’ve got about two solid days worth of mixes to listen to! Don’t worry I listen to them all, if it’s good it’ll end up on here eventually!
This week we’ve got some balaeric bass vibes from DJ Sol Rising, Secret Archives of the Vatican bringing their brand of Transglobal Breakbeat Dub Science and Eshin with an explosive dubstep / d&b mix…
DJ Sol Rising
Quite a Balearic take on global bass right here, I really enjoyed listening to this, if I had a beach bar on a tropical island I’d be booking this dude to play at sunset every day… There’s a summery daytime psy-chill vibe running through the first half of this, perfect for these summer days – well it would be if I wasn’t sat in an office looking out at a car park, matches the weather but not the location. Hopefully the weather will hold & you’ll get to listen to it in more suitable surroudings. Sol Rising’s own tune ‘Around the Clock’ feat Rasco comes in at about 27.30, a wicked slice of hip hop with a transnational beat, and the tempo switches up when Basement Jaxx comes in at about 42 minutes, a totally unexpected excellent choice. Moves into proggy trancey house then gorgeous epic flouro dubstep towards the end, Azedia’s remix of Magnetic Man is the moment where the sun sinks into the ocean, perfect.
We love a bit of Secret Archives round here, these guys have been around for time but they’re always assimilating new styles & rolling them into their own brand of Transglobal Breakbeat Dub Science… Here’s half an hour of pure Secret Archives action, check it. First tune, Bint al Wazir, has a bit of a Crash Bandicoot vibe… that’s a good thing by the way.

Eshin repping big, apocalyptic dubstep & spacious steppin d&b in Brooklyn. The first tune (Chi & Diggadee MC – Mood Swing) is interesting – completely UK style rapping in a completely USA voice, it’s a subtle thing but the pace and inflection on the vocal are 100% grime and it’s weird hearing it in an American accent. Cool though. Basher – Transmission in the d&b section of the mix is right up my street, spacious, sinister and bassy, reminds me of the stuff I used to play waaay back in the day (some of the first gigs I ever did were d&b nights I put on in Sheffield) but given a sheen for 2011.

These dudes include our boy, Mike, aka DJ EKIM, founder of the Drumstep forum.
This is his new project and man I gotta say, this is very, very encouraging stuff. They’re taking a new-ish angle on the Drumstep front and I’m always happy to hear that. So methinks, they’re a name to watch out for.
Here’s what they say about themselves:
The invaders from mars are here and ready to kill any dancefloor!!!
When cleveland underground house legend digital bill and south florida ragga up and comer dj ekim met years ago in cleveland they instantly got along and started to make music right away.
Over the years they collaborated on different mixes and tunes. now that their musical careers have finally lined up so that they can concentrate on one single project they jumped on the chance and invaders from mars was born.
Both of these djs/producers are killers on their own and the music that they have been making so far is some of the most intense peak hour stuff out there with many more tracks and dj sets on the way.
Some more Transnational DrumST3P but this time of the ambient variety!
We were holding this tune back for the next Secret Archives of the Vatican release but we had a major computer problem and have probably lost the original master file. So – we’ll probably remix it anyway, even if the computer files are recoverable. So, here’s the mp3 as a free download. Let us know what you think.
It’s great for us to hear from people doing well following one of our blog posts, it’s always a huge bonus for us.
Of course, it doesn’t always happen and don’t come to us thinking we can change your lives cause it’s not that “dramatic” ahahahhaa!
Anyway, Alexandre has really appreciated our support and he now has a new release coming out through the brand new Samoa Good Records (south florida-based imprint of Bombeatz Ink) on October 15th. Its a two track EP that contains a dubstep track and a drumstep track (which he thinks will his release format for the foreseeable future).
Initially popularised in the mid 1990s with the UK’s Asian Underground movement, the music of Indian Electronica is expressive of an increasingly complex global identity.
Indian Electronica music fuses ‘East’ and ‘West’ using technology and tradition to produce some of the World’s most innovative, emotive and exciting sounds.
Now almost 20 years later..everything has gone a way further!!
Here’s INDIAN ELECTRONICA
The KING of Dubstep and you know the funny thing is that I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a whole Rusko track all the way through….lol..
I don’t say that with any disrespect to the fellah, it’s just that RUSKO is so obviously King of Dubstep, just like the Beatles are so obviously KINGS OF POP and so sometimes when it’s so obvious like this things slip under the radar. Guys like me are always searching for the not so obvious. But I can bet you I’ll probably really get into Rusko when he’s no longer so relevant, much later down the line..lol..
2 great remixes here and I’m not surprised the Poirier one reached the 100 download limit quicker than you could say RUSKO but you can still grab the Sub Focus remix!
With all the gloomy economic stuff about Greece in the news all week, let’s not forget that Greece is home not only to the Olympics and some of the GREATEST philosophers the world has ever known BUT also some exceptional dubstep courtesy of the King – FLeCK, Princess – Connectionist and Prince – Xseos!
Here’s the Prince with another free download track!
Our good friends the SECRET ARCHIVES OF THE VATICAN return with a golden EP called “Glidepath” which is full of really coool Transnational Arabic and Indian Dubstep and Breakbeat flava’s AND it’s available for free!!!
I’ve got to say I think it’s some of their best work to date! The title track is probably the stand out for me, full of Middle Eastern beauty but the whole EP is full of great tracks!
Profanity aka Ben is another talented dude from New Zealand, yep, yet another NEW ZEALANDER!!! They’re killing it down there man!
I’m really captured by this dude’s sound and style and like most of the other New Zealand Dubstep crew who I’ve got into AlexisK, Jen aka Majiika and DJ Sweep, this dude’s stuff also verges on the cinematic.
All I can say is that New Zealand’s scenery is having an obvious impact upon the Dubstep scene.
1 track to download and 1 to stream, xcellent tracks…dubstep for yo’ MIND!
A track a made at my audio engineers course, made on headphones so im not to sure what its gonna sound like on speakers and i dont have my usual samples that i use,Other than that its a very chill track and im happy with the outcome.

We stuck up their highly innovative and freshhh Spring mix a few weeks back. Has to be one of the mixes of the year so far, they created a kind of Tribal-Breaks- Metalic House-Step vibe and I LOVED it.
Here is another mix by them but this is from last year and is more akin to what they are usually known for, Dubstep, and man it’s another beauty!
Lowki put me on to this cause it contained one of his free tracks. Both Fleck & I are just MASSSIVE Lowki fans and I’m fortunate enough to have some of his very hard to get tunes. He is a name to watch out for in 2010.
Man grab it, it’s a GREAT FREE compilation and has a free LOWKI track on it, that alone is worth grabbing it for.
Here’s what they say:
Again the net label Original Dub Gathering this time for a compilation on the famous collection it proposes: Step4i. The sixth volume, available in free download as others, proposes 26 tracks and same much of participants.
Hard to tell about all. That we can say, we can find some artists from ODG or other net labels such as artists signed on most “traditional” labels. By this fact, we can find on this volume The Blackstarliners, Jah Billah, Dub Engine sharing the opus with Weeding Dub, Kanka or Brain Damage.
A match copyleft versus copyright? Not. Just a meeting of dubbers to promote their music and the richness of this one: to show the different styles of this kind which is dub music. Actually, the compilation presents as well roots, stepper, electro-novo-dub, dubstep and other experimentations inna dubwise style.
MUNCHI DUBSTEP PRODUCTIONS
Our young boy from Holland is blazing it on all fronts, B-More, Baile Funk, you name it, he’ll come up with it.
Here’s some Dubstep from him, quite dark, eerie and along the chilled tip!
Jeuce are a live electro/dubstep act based in Leeds, built up of four members. They have recently received attention and airplay from Radio one DJ’s Andy George and Jaymo and have been causing somewhat of a stir across the blogging world.
They are now also one part of the freshly launched Get Hype Collective; a collaboration of like-minded Acts, DJ’s, Designers and Promoters.
Their live set is a relentless mix of hard-hitting Dance music, perfectly suited to a club atmosphere. They bring a hybrid sound of bass heavy drops thrown together with a mix of melodic vocals, bouncy synths and twisted guitar lines. Jeuce are amongst the first in a growing list of live acts that belong playing in a club environment.
The boys have recently signed a number of single releases with London based label, Gash digital. Their forthcoming release “Flavour” is due to hit the stores in April this year. Not only are Jeuce constantly writing original material, but they have been making a name for themselves as remix artists, completing a number of official remixes for the likes of Crookers, Ladytron, Esser, Ellie Goulding, Hadouken! and more.
Get Hype Collective have just began to launch their new youtube channel ‘Get Hype TV’, which has come about nicely alongside the Release of the latest Jeuce Rework of Robot Disaster – Boy (Released today). So to kick things off we thought we would send you all a link to the youtube video for this release, and a link for readers to buy the tracks if you decide to post this rework up. O yer, and please feel free to subscribe to the channel to get updates on all the latest tracks by the collectives members.
Nilow has a great talent for plucking great pop songs and turning them into POPSTEP GOLD!
He did it already with Lisa Mitchell’s “Neopolitan Dreams” which I stuck on my Popstep Dub Symphony Vol II and that is just a sublime “unofficial” remix.
He does a good job with the BEATLES on this track in partnership with some dude called SHEM! Not my favourite Beatles track and so I would love him to try it with “I am the Walrus” or something else like that!
Beatles purists will be tearing their hair out but who gives a s***!
