Our boy STICKY K has been busy on the remix front again. If you’re not already down with it, Sticky K is signed to Switch’s Dubsided label and is also doing some stuff for Sweat It Out too. He appeared on Kissy Sell Out’s BBC Radio 1 show on July 24 with a guest mix. Plus of course, the biggest thing to have graced his young world is that he’s a contributor here….hee.heee :-)…check out his brilliant post on BANDARI FUNK.
You know he seems to be all over the place at the minute, which is great man as the prediction I made about him a little while back seems to be taking shape. But he’s still young man and I think that this very talented American with Persian roots has not even scratched the tip of the iceberg yet with what he is capable of producing…so WATCH OUT!!!
Anyway, he sent me a couple of new remixes a few days back which have been arse-kicked into Sticky K territory, bouncing bass and brilliant breakdowns and sometimes infused with Bandari percussion.
The first one is a kind of Soca remix of Harder, Better, Stronger, Faster which builds and builds and then goes ballistic .
The second one is yet another Major Lazer Hold The Line remix and it seems to me that the best Hold The Line remixes are still coming. Sticky K’s remix seems to carry with it the Daft Punk feel of the previous track and is quite hypnotic and cinematic with a slight Goblin feel to it also.

Whilst we’re here also pick up his crazy MALUCA-CA-CA-CA Remix of El Tigeraso.
