Here’s a mix I really rate for originality and flow.  It’s like a breath of fresh air for me as DJ Mixes just seem to be so samey at the moment.

The sound is not that new though, as Toy Selectah himself introduced me to this stuff around April of this year when we did a gig together.  He personally handed me a copy of Paul Devro’s mixtape on CD, which is really cool.

I think Soundgoods has raised the bar as he is not simply mimicking what Paul did before him but is introducing great new tunes in the same genre and as I said before the mix is flawless too.

Here’s what SOUNDGOODS says:

This quite new sound from Mexico has been referred to as “Tribal Guarachero” on Dutty Artz and other sites, but when I asked around the CD sellers in D.F./Mexico I just saw question marks in their faces. They just called it Tribal. But maybe the problem was my Spanish… Anyway, Paul Devro who posted a great Mix of the stuff on Mad Decent isn’t sure either how to call it. For me it’s Technocumbia!
