Ok, we are deep into december, I thought it would be time to put some deep cumbias forward. Although I am not a total fan of this style, we must recognize there’s some interesting stuff, so here is a selection of what appears beeing the best tracks to me.

1. Los hijos de la Tanga – well we had to begin with them first to keep sexy vibes as do the photo, and second cause “tu mama también” is a really good track. Guys please write a short bio, ok ?

2. Dirty Bergeon – Dirty Bergeon was born in Cambridge (UK). He first started his musical career by releasing electro funk collages and then turned to balearic house music after several trips to Ibiza. He moved to Paris and started to release few bootlegs and unofficial club oriented remixes. His Brazilian wife (we should ask our female readers here if they want some sexy photos of male cumbiamberos by the way…) turned him to latin & afro influences in his music, which is now right on the border between tribal, latin, tropical house & tech-house. My mate Sylvain from the blog le Goûter pointed me this track out:

3. Panik Dj – this one come with a recommendation of our Editors I named Sonido del Principe and UMB, so guess what, it’s a FREE DOWNLOAD of course…

4. Cabeza – there’s more activity ultimately on the Cabeza netlabel ! specialized in bass / cumbia / tropical / mashups. Well, even more than the usual high activity !! So here are the deepest tracks of the label:

Cabeza! DRS-009 Los Reyes de la Milanga – Mono Pescado by cabeza-shop

Cabeza! DRS-016 Sandro Dalepedro – The Bottom by cabeza-shop

Cabeza! DRS-012 Martin eNe – Sanya (Le Freak Selector latin deep mix) by cabeza-shop

Cabeza! DRS-010 Los Reyes de la Milanga – Naughty by cabeza-shop

5. Knight Magic – he lives in Baltimore. He enjoys music from everywhere in the world. He likes bass. And we like his “baile de la cumbia”. Kind of deep, no…? (but I am specialised in 70’s stuff so don’t fear correcting me…)
