Here’s some great dub stuff with a Transnational Middle Eastern flava released by a label called Green Queen Music:

GQM is a record label and seedbed of all things tasty and unusual.

GQM’s music policy is open-minded however is far from pretending to be all things to all people and focuses primarily on the genres of Electronic, Dub, Nu World, Balkan Beats and Broken Beats… Get in touch if you think you have some wicked tunes!!!!

The first track is free and features Tunisian pop princess Amina Annabi who has been doing stuff for some years in the Global Roots scene with artists such as Smadj and U-Cef.

Also If you ever watched Bertolucci’s beautiful “The Sheltering Sky”, she played the hooker in that movie that Malkovich gets a tiny bit obesessed with and also infected

I actually dj’ed at one of her shows with Smadj a few years back….lol.

Diaspora’s “A Jamaican in Cairo” CD has entered the track list and gig bags of Djs the likes of: David Rodigan (Kiss Fm) as well as receiving outstanding reviews and been nominated one of the most original World/Reggae albums of 2010 by Reggae Vibes and DJ Ritu’s “A World in London” on BBC Radio.
