Here’s the new Sabbo release, a diversion from his recent Footwork excursions with Generation Bass. You can still grab that HERE!
He releases his Modern Primitives EP with down Under’s Scattermusic and it’s due out on March 15th.
It’s a tasty EP full of cutz I’ve been banging out on an exclusive basis for the past 9 months and for me they still retain their freshness. It takes in everything that is brilliant about Tropical Bass sounds, nu cumbia, tribal house, boombahchero, african tribal and so forth including remixes from DJ Orion and Emynd.
So you NEED to grab it if you wanna be on top of your game, know what I’m sayin’!
Here’s the official stuff:
Scattermusic is set to unleash it’s tenth official release march 15th, this time showcasing the production talents of Tel Aviv’s own Sabbo. Having released previously on respected labels such as Mad Decent, Generation Bass and Botanika he’s already gained a formidable reputation worldwide as a production powerhouse. While his recent Freakiton EP focused on the footwork movement that’s currently happening in Chicago, this release sees him turning his efforts to the musical styles of Mexico and Columbia. He delivers four originals of grinding syncopated percussion, squealing synth riffs and skillfully chopped vocals, all guaranteed to pressurize even the most reluctant dance floors. Remix duties are handled by Emynd (Philly USA) who adds the signature vocal stabs and drums form his home town and also DJ Orion (Austin USA) who pushes champion robot into psychedelic territories without losing any of it’s original dance floor drive.
‘Modern Primitives’ officially launches digitally on March 15th, 2011 and will be available via I Tunes, Beatport, Turntablelab, Juno and other online stores.
