They are somehow ALL connected to this forthcoming Generation Bass Release, READ ON!

It’s with great excitement that we present our foray into Bollywood with one of our forthcoming releases, which features a bona fide Bollywood star, Monica Dogra aka Shaai’r.

Shaai’r lays down some sensous and sultry vox on a Bandish Projekt mega Dubstep/Drumstep track, “Lover”.  Just wait till u see the actual track video, which will be premiered soon…..OMG!!!

Here’s more on Generation Bass’ first Lady of Bollywood!

In 2005, she formed the electro-rock group Shaa’ir+Func”, along with guitarist Randolph Correia. In 2007, they released their first album New Day: The Love Album, followed by Light Tribe in 2008 and Mantis in 2010. She also sang a song “Dooriyan Bhi Hai Zaroori” with Vishal Dadlani in the film Break Ke Baad.

She has made a guest appearance in Rock On!!. In 2008, she was approached by Kiran Rao for the lead role in her directorial debut film Dhobi Ghat – a role she initially turned down, but eventually accepted.

The film is scored by Bajo Fondo Tango Club founder and award winning film composer, Gustavo Santaolalla, and includes a song by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
