Paul David, one of the New Wave of Moombahtonista’s plus one from the Original Vanguard, A-Mac team up to release this blistering EP, which came out today. You can’t really miss this one and you need to get it now from BEATPORT.
The track “Horizon” is a Tropical Heavyweight peak time track perfect for sunnier climes. Strangely it reminds a little bit of “The Race” by Yello but like a Latin version of it, man it’s a banger!
The second track, “O Wey” is just simply a sublime cut of MoombahDuBReggae with that ever so catchy title and possibly a future classic in the ranks!
The 2 remixes come courtesy of 2 of my fave producers in the game, ETC! ETC! and Starfoxxx!
The ETC! ETC! remix of “Horizon” just basically annihilates everything & anything that might stand in its way like a Nuclear Bomb! complete with sirens, huge breakdowns, massive drops, radiation bleeps and futuro tribal apocalypto chants….HUGE!
Starfoxxx goes for his juke head as oppsed to his Brujaton head, I prefer the latter, and takes it to Chicago! Brilliant addition to your juke collection!
They’ve been very generous and given away both remixes!!!!

A pioneer of the burgeoning Moombahton genre, A-Mac has been making the world take notice this past year. Having played at the first ever Moombahton Massive in Washington DC, and just recently returning from the XLR8R magazine showcase at SXSW where he shared the stage with Brodinski, Dave Nada, Sabo, Toy Selecta, Dillon Francis and others. His remixes and original productions have been championed by Industry heavyweights Diplo, Tittsworth, Smalltown DJ’s and Willy Joy. You can catch him every Friday at the HIFI Club in Calgary Alberta, and watch out this summer for shows across North America.
2011 was a great year for Producer/Dj and Burner Records co-founder, Paul David. His remixes and original productions turned heads in the global dance music scene and received enthusiastic support from mainstream outlets such as Mixmag, Hypemachine and world-renowned DJ’s like Chuckie, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sander Kleinenberg, Markus Shulz and BBC Radio 1 Dj Kissy Sell Out. Paul David’s EP “Sunset Electric” sat at #3 on the Juno Download charts and landed in the Top 100 on Beatport.
Honing his skills as a producer and live PA, Paul has played clubs across Canada and the U.K. at festivals such as the World Electronic Music Festival and Edgefest, culminating in a personal invitation to play the Detroit Electronic Music Festival by Detroit dance music pioneer, Carl Craig.
Paul’s original productions consistently blow minds, while his DJ sets have people forgetting themselves on the dance floor.
With releases currently out on UK’s Cr2 Records, Pukka Up Records , a collaboration Moombahton EP with A-Mac and a highly anticipated house EP on Burner Records late February 2012, Paul David’s mad skills and energy are uncontainable!
