I’ve known and been in contact with Zeid from Beirut for a number of years now, ever since his Soaps Kills days with Jasmine!

He continues to create some of the most beautiful and sublime music that has so much depth, grace and majesty that it kills you with its sound.

Here is another one of those sublime beauties, kinda reminds me of Les Negresses Vertes and of course many will draw parallels with Yann Tiersen:

Here’s what Zeid says:

This is one of the themes I have composed for ” Roundtrip ” , a film by the Syrian director Meyar Al-Roumi. This piece was recorded between Beirut and Fraizer Park California. I recorded Buzuk , guitalele , kalimba and melodica Miles Jay recorded Lyra , accordeon , contrebass and percussions.

This version is different from the one in the movie. I hope u ll have the chance to see it at the Dubai film festival, if it wins a prize it will hopefully be screened in some theatres around the world (finger crossed).

I hope u like it. My christmas download for u 🙂
