New Generation Bass signees who are doing some mutant transnational/rockabilly/punk/electronic/dance/hybrid sounds.

Sharna Liguz aka “SSHH” lead singer (Her father was from Sutton Coldfield, my neck of the woods and so super-cool dude and he hung out with UB40 in their early days and so massive Birmingham connection there)

Zak Starkey on guitar (The Who, ex-Oasis drummer, guest drummer with Kasabian amongst many others including playing in his Beatle Dad’s band – The one and only Ringo Starr)

Javier Weyler on drums (ex-Stereophonics and has worked with Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols and Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music).

PenguinsRising have previously toured as support act for Kasabian and Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye.

Yep, we’re still pinching ourselves too and buzzing about this incredible release!

Their amazing and unique debut album is due for release next spring and will feature Tom Meighan from Kasabian and Bandish Projekt.  The project will also include some other cool peeps and remixes from the likes of Lord Cry Cry, Bandish Projekt and many others in the Dance and Transnational Bass worlds.

1st single due for digital release in September called “Hatemale” dropping soon for free.

More information coming soon.
