It’s weird how things come around. I remember Madioko et Rafika Elleli’ from my pre-Generation Bass days when they had released some stuff with Most Records, a short-lived label that was meant to represent the musical output of the infamous London restaurant/club “Momo’s” which stands at the former K West location of the David Bowie “Ziggy Stardust” album cover. I dj’ed there a couple of times and it’s a great place.
So when the creator of “Electrovaudou” (Michelange Quay – a Haitian/American filmmaker and producer) sent me this track, it kinda surprised me because of that previous connection I had.
“Electrovaudou” is the exploration of the links between Voodoo (Vaudou) ceremony rhythms and 160 bpm Footwork.
