I was just saying a few days ago that I really wish there was another Asian Underground Movement in the UK but I can’t see that happening at all anywhere in the UK.

There’s no signs of it and certainly nothing to talk about that might be on the same level as it was here 20 years ago with artists like Talvin Singh, Fundamental, ADF, Nitin Sawhney, State of Bengal and so many others who in hindsight were actually doing some really, really ground-breaking stuff that has yet to be matched in modern-day.

There is, however, a glimmer of hope emerging from the “Home” countries which artists like Bandish Projekt, Midival Punditz and others started some years ago and which is now really starting to catch on in a pretty big way.

HOOdub aka Asmita Parashar is one of those exciting artists emerging from the “Home” countries, India.  She is not new to our blog as we’ve been supporting some of her releases for a number of years now.

I’ve really been getting back into some Dub lately as Transnational Bass hasn’t really been providing me with much inspiration lately and so her new stuff has caught me at the right time and a lot of time it is really about catching my mood at the right time.

Here’s a cool new Dubstep number that she has just dropped and check out some of her back catalogue too:
